Change of Date for DOG is Dead Party
Sorry to confuse everyone, but the national day of mourning (okay 2 hour party in the URC) to commiserate the end of DOG is now on the 18th October, not 11th. All other details remain the same....

DOG is dead!
Message from Keith and Anna...

DOG is dead.
As you know, we decided that last term would be the end of our dear DOG (with new group starting after half term for those not too ancient now), but we wanted to comiserate with a party when everyone was around again this term.
Soooo...
The official DEAD DOG party is Thursday 11th Oct, 7-9pm in the URC where we always met. The theme will be... dead dog...! Dress in black for mourning, bring hankies for loud sad wailing, and £3 towards a Chinese takeaway (you know what they say about the meat...!). Please invite anyone you know who has come to DOG in the last few years, but you must let us know if you are coming so we can order enough food - email, phone, or speak to Keith or Anna.

If you have any photos from DOG in the past it would be fun to see them too..
.

Maundy Thursday Overnight Event
On Maundy Thursday (5th April) this year, Sunday Cafe are invited to an overnight event.

This will include FOOD, GAMES, FOOD, EVEN MORE FOOD... These things will enable you to get through an entire night of staying awake.

There is a more serious element though! In between the mad times of eating and gaming, we will be taking relevant looks at the Passion Story in various ways.

The night will end with an act of worship at about 7:30 in the morning, to which anyone will be welcome to join, followed by breakfast!

There will be a very small charge towards the food, and we will probably have the tuck shop open from time to time for cans, etc!

Keep the night free!

It's Only Rock & Roll ... but I like it.

LogoSC_50x30.jpgIt's only Rock & Roll ... but I like it
In what probably constitutes the most controversial front page news item we've featured on FCY ... check out the new CD cover for the album being put together by KB for the upcoming Sunday Cafe entitled "It's only Rock and Roll, but I like It".

SC_IORARBILI_CDCover.png

KB's not telling us much about the content of the evening at the moment, though I think we can guess the general topic, but what he does want is an all-time-favourite-song-ever, submitted by any regular or ex-regular members of Sunday Cafe.  All the songs are going to be burnt onto the one CD to make a really interesting and probably very diverse complilation,  If you contribute, you'll get a copy.

But ...
You need to explain why it's your favourite ever!

Probly best off mailing KB direct, or you can go through webmaster@fcy.org.uk if you like.
